December and Winter Specials, Holiday Events

new tasteThis is gearing up to be a busy month for the Mollie Rose Baking Company! The first week of December brought a new cupcake special, a new seasonal hand pie, a new preserve, and two holiday events! On Thursday, December 5th, we were in Emeryville with the DISPLAY pop up market. There were craft vendors, a macaron vendor, and MRBC. We premiered our Apple Cider Cupcake and Orange Cranberry Hand Pie! We also had our Rosemary-Meyer Lemon Marmalade for sale with our Harvest Pear Jam, Molasses Beer Bread, Cinnamon Glazed Almonds, Peppermint Bark, and Pumpkin Seed Brittle. We had so much fun, we’re returning to DISPLAY for their Holiday Market on Thursday, December 19th! Check out our Events page for more information.

apple cider ccOur Apple Cider Cupcake is available at events and for orders throughout the month of December! Our spiced apple cake is baked til golden then topped with a cinnamon “buttercream.” Also available gluten-free for an extra charge. They’re a delightful treat to be enjoyed during this cold winter month along with hot cocoa, warm tea, and (of course) hot apple cider!

meyer lemonThe Rosemary-Meyer Lemon Marmalade has been a favorite at the three events we’ve offered it. Sliced Meyer lemons are soaked overnight with freh, organic rosemary. The lemons are then cooked with organic sugar and jarred with a sprig of rosemary in each jar. This marmalade makes the perfect gift for your marmalade-loving friends and family! Or you can keep it for yourself and enjoy it on crumpets and scones; we won’t judge.

displayThe Orange Cranberry Hand Pie is our Winter Seasonal Hand Pie! This tart/sweet pie is made with fresh, organic cranberries, freshly squeezed organic orange juice, and orange zest. The filling is baked in a tender pastry and the dough is topped with a sprinkling of organic sugar. These festive pies are available through February.

giftsAs the holidays rage on, some people start panicking when they suddenly realize they haven’t thought of a gift for their co-workers, teachers, grandmas, chiropractors, and other special people in their lives. We have the perfect soltion: MRBC treats! Our items are reasonably priced, delicious, and made with vegan and mostly organic ingredients! Order jars of Harvest Pear Jam, delicately spiced with cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Or some of our limited edition Rosemary-Meyer Lemon Marmalade. Peppermint Bark, Pumpkin Seed Brittle, and Cinnamon Glazed Almonds make perfect stocking stuffers. All our products are excellent additions to foodie gift baskets! You can order our wheat-free Currant Scones and a 4oz jar of marmalade to package with that perfect tea you found for your aunt, or you can order a loaf of Molasses Beer Bread and a 4oz jar of Harvest Pear Jam to go along with that artisan nut butter you know your significant other will just love.
